The skills students gain from the study of home Economics prepare them for a consumer-oriented society it is concerned with resource management for individuals, families and communities. Home economics education facilitates the development of knowledge and skills to assist with the development of independent, resourceful consumer citizens capable of making an informed decisions and establishing work-life balance.
